Meet the QR codes based City Audio Guide – the new format of the city audio guides, developed by the «Plastilin Media OY». Our idea is to create the multi-language audio guide with an access through QR codes. The QR codes will be placed next to the major places of interest of any city. When the user will view the QR code with his smartphone, he will be able to listen to the description of this place of interest. The user could choose between, for example, Finnish, Swedish, English, Russian and Ukrainian language. The implementation of our idea will reach many goals - it will enrich the social life in the selected city; it will bring new knowledge to the local citizens and tourists; it will help to realize cultural rights of the city’s minorities and will help to incluse them in the life of the local community; it will provide better service to the multicultural tourists & visitors, based on new technologies; it will strengthen the image of the city as the modern & technological location. In September 2023 “Plastilin Media OY” has applied with this QR codes based City Audio Guide project for the “Kulmille!” Imatrankoski's idea competition, organized by the city of Imatra.
